Stand up surfing by the end of your first lesson

BJ's Surf School operates out of Terrigal on the NSW Central Coast which is an easy drive north from Sydney. If the conditions don't suit for the surf lesson we are more than happy to move to another beach to either fit in with your requirements or the ocean.

 At BJ's Surf School we run daily surf lessons, depending on surf and weather conditions.

  • Individual Bookings: You are most welcome to come and join the next surf lesson that suits you best. You will join a small class to have a lot of fun, thrills and surfing.
  • Group Bookings: Private groups, corporate groups, kids birthday parties. You name it, we can arrange it. Basically the surf lesson is for you and your friends or collegues. No outsiders allowed.
  • Private Surf Lesson: If you are real keen to kick start your surfing, maybe you need a private, one-on-one surf lesson. It's just you and the instructor.

Coaches and Instructors are all fully qualified and experienced, including first aid.

In my 2 surfing lessons i learnt how to surf, it was so fun and im glad i chose to surf with bj's school, it was so fun and i was standing up the first wave i caught, thanks heaps bj..

This school is awsome, bj is so nice, like you know him, but you only just met him.. he helps you if your stuck on something.

Beginner surfer!

Hi BJ,

Last week my son Riley 7 years old attended a surf lesson with you. Being a surfer myself I have tried several to coach him, but after several attempts and wipeouts he appeared to loose his confidence, largely due to my inexperienced approach.

Well after a session with you, Riley came back with a renewed sense of confidence and believe.

He recounted how many time he stood up and how he paddled and caught many waves himself and he also laughed at some of the wipeouts. I am so proud that he has turned the corner and is well on his way to overcoming his fear for surfing and since then has asked if I can buy him a foam board just like BJ’s.

Thank you for teaching Riley that surfing is fun and I look forward to teaching him more and hopefully surfing together.

We concentrate on teaching you all the basics about the sport of surfing and the ocean. We especially focus on the safety aspect of the sport. This way the kids and kids at heart all learn to participate in a very safe manner.

With our advanced coaching methods most participants are up and surfing by the end of their first lesson. Yes that means standing up and surfing, very first lesson. Most of the kids are away after only a few waves. The combination of great coaching and the best equipment guarantees your fast track to surfing success.
